Sleepy Eye Area Chapter

The Sleepy Eye Chapter of Let's Go Fishing launched its pontoon in 2005 and it was given the name "The Chief's Pride" and uses Sleepy Eye Lake to do the outings. Let's Go Fishing is a non-profit organization providing free fishing and boating excursions to those who are 55 years and older. A current MN fishing license is required, but all the other equipment is furnished on the pontoon, including life vests, rods and reels, bait, fish finder, stereo, drinking water, sweet snacks for diabetic emergencies, first aid kit, cell phone, a trained Captain and 1st Mate. The Chief's Pride is a 24 ft long crtestliner, with a 60 hp motor, a full canopy and 12 captains chairs which can be removed to accommodate wheelchairs.The pontoon is docked at the Sportsman's Park in the north side of Sleepy Eye Lake.
