The Let’s Go Fishing - Pope County Chapter is please to announce the arrival of the Let’s Go Fishing boat which is ready for fishing and tours.

Let’s Go Fishing is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to provide the Seniors of the community who are 55 and older, with fishing and boating excursions. The mission of Let’s Go Fishing is to give back to the Senior’s of our community that have given so much.  We want to provide seniors with an opportunity to spend quality time on Lake Minnewaska and other area lakes, with friends, families, and acquaintances creating memories that will last a lifetime. 

The Let’s go Fishing program is for all Senior’s. The Let’s Go Fishing Pontoon provides full accessibility for Senior’s.  The Let’s Go Fishing Pontoon has been designed to accommodate Senior’s by having higher rails, captain’s chairs, and wider door access to accommodate wheelchairs.  We provide everything necessary for a fishing, or boating tours, including rods, reels, bait, life preservers, beverages and a snack.  The only thing you need if you want to fish, is a Minnesota Fishing License. We also have private boats that are available for up to two riders at a time.    

The boating excursions are lead by volunteers of the community who are experienced and who have completed the safety courses required by Let’s Go Fishing.  We are always looking for Volunteers!!

Since June the Let’s Go Fishing – Pope County Chapter has been busy with outings -fishing and just pleasure cruises.  We have been working hard to bring this program to the Senior’s of Pope County and the surrounding areas.  We look forward to meeting old friends and making new ones.
